Joint work of religious communities to be efficient for peace building - K. Bondevik

ASTANA. July 1. KAZINFORM. /Serik Koibagarov/ "If different religious communities work together we will achieve high results in peace building", ex-prime minister of Norway Kjell Bondevik has said at the III Religious Congress in Astana today.
"For the purpose all religious leaders should always tell only truth and by their behavior serve as a pattern for others", he noted. According to the former premier, religion is able to help solve such problems as HIV and AIDS.
"In 1996 we created the council of religions in Norway. It included representatives of Lutheranism Islam, Buddhism and other religions. The work of the council was efficient", he added.
