Joint Statement on Nagorno-Karabakh conflict signed in Astana promotes its regulation - Kazakh Ambassador S. Primbetov

"It was not easy to adopt such joint document. The conflict has been lasting for many years and we realize its complexity. Everyone waits for breakthrough in its resolution, but it is impossible to solve it within a year", the Kazakh Diplomat noted.
Alongside, he added that signing the document the heads of the delegations of the Minsk Group co-chairing countries and presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan agreed that time came to take more decisive measures directed on regulation of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
The Joint Statement reads also that three co-chairing countries expressed their support to the presidents of Azerbaijan and Armenia who take decisions necessary for achievement of peaceful regulation. In order to improve the atmosphere of the negotiations they appealed to the parties to take additional steps towards strengthening the ceasefire regime and implementing the confidence-building measures in all spheres.
