At present only three clinics in the CIS have got JCI standard, two of which are in Kazakhstan. This standard indicates that these clinics operate to the highest international standards of safety, quality of care, and are recognized in the United States. There are 450 clinics of that kind worldwide; they are situated in 90 countries.

This was announced to Kazinform by Yerbol Orynbaev, Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, during the certificate presentation ceremony.

"The process of measuring the quality compliance is very hard and durable, it runs for 2.5 years. Previously, the "National Research Center for Maternity and Childhood" JSC has received the JCI international accreditation. Now the second clinic of Kazakhstan the "Republican Scientific Center of Neurosurgery" JSC pleased us with that achievement", said E. Orynbaev.

As pointed out in his speech Shigeo Katsu, the Rector-President of "Nazarbayev University" JSC, JCI accreditation is assigned not forever and it has a time limit of 3 years. Therefore, Kazakhstani physicians need to advance and prove their compliance with international standards and this task is not easy.
