Jockey dies in tragic accident in Akmola region

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - A jockey tragically died during a race in Sandyktausky district of the Akmola region on Saturday.
The man and his horse were participating in a 10,000m race when the accident happened. According to witnesses, the horse stumbled and fell on the jockey. Medics rushed to the course to treat him but he died of sustained injuries and they pronounced him dead at the scene. Vice President of the Kazakhstan Equestrian Sport Federation Mustafa Mustafayev expressed his condolences to the family of the victim and said it was a tragic accident.
