Jobless rate in Customs Union down 13.1% in 2013
"The number of the unemployed registered with the employment services in the member states of the Customs Union and the Single Economic Space made up 1,025,600 people at the end of February 2014, down 13.1% from February 2013. Over the year the number of the registered unemployed persons decreased by 11.4% in Belarus, by 10.9% in Kazakhstan and 13.2% in Russia.
The registered unemployment rate in the whole Customs Union and the Single Economic Space was running at 1.2% in February 2014, BelTA refers.
According to the Eurasian Economic Commission, in February this year 23,200 jobless people were registered with the employment services in Belarus (0.5% of the economically active population) 49,000 in Kazakhstan (0.5%), and 953,400 in Russia (1.3%).
