Jobless rate in Customs Union at 1.1% in May

MOSCOW. KAZINFORM The unemployment rate in the Customs Union stood at 1.1% in May 2014, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Eurasian Economic Commission.
The figure has stayed unchanged since the end of 2013.
The number of the unemployed registered with the employment bodies of the Customs Union member states totaled 988,000 people in late May 2014, down 10.3% from May 2013. The number of registered unemployed in Belarus and Kazakhstan reduced by 8.7%, in Russia by 10.4%, BelTA reports.
According to the Eurasian Economic Commission, Belarus had 21,900 registered unemployed in May (0.5% of the workforce). In Kazakhstan the figure was 61,000 (0.7%), in Russia 988,000 (1.2%).
