JICA experts inspected 13 hydrotechnical facilities of Kazakhstan
Japanese experts inspected 13 hydrotechnical facilities in four regions of Kazakhstan, Kazinform News Agency learned from the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation.

Ambassador of Japan to Kazakhstan Jun Yamada, Seniour Advisor of the Japanese International Cooperation Agency Nobuo Sambe and project coordinator Aya Ito visited Aktobe region to meet local branch of Kazvodkhoz.

JICA experts inspected hydrotechnical facilities in Akmola, Karaganda, Aktobe and West Kazakhstan regions, which experienced the heaviest floods this year. The experts surveyed Seletinskoye, Chaglinskoye, Astana, Shokai, Samarkand, Yntymak, Bitik, Dongelek, Aktobe, Kargaly and Sazdy water reservoirs as well as Astana protective dam and Preobrazhensky hydrojunction.

"The Japanese delegation visited hydrotechnical facilities of Aktobe, Kargaly and Sazdy water reservoirs and did not detect any critical damages. The results of examination and recommendations were submitted to the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation,” Director of Aktobe Regional Branch of Kazvodkhoz Rinat Shauenov says.
