Japanese Ambassador thanked Kazakhstan for assistance in liquidation of disaster consequences

U. Mukhamedzhanov congratulated Yuzo Harada on his appointment to the post of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Kazakhstan.

Issues concerning development of bilateral relations in political, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres were on agenda of the meeting.

Speaking on the disaster that hit Japan in March and the condolences sent to the chairpersons of the Japanese Parliament, as well as the humanitarian aid rendered by Kazakhstan to this country, U. Mukhamedzhanov said that "...our country admires Japanese people's courage". The Speaker expressed confidence that the consequences of the catastrophe would be eliminated in the nearest time.

Having thanked for the support and assistance provided in the hard period, the Ambassador expressed gratitude to Kazakhstan "... on behalf of the people of Japan".

Upon completion of the talks the Speaker thanked the Ambassador for the meeting and expressed hope that his activity would further promote strengthening the multilateral ties between the two states.
