Japan to share energy saving experience with Kazakhstan

A seminar on energy saving will be held in Astana for three days.The representatives of Japanese energy saving companies, in particular the Panasonic Company will consider the issues of global warming as well as the global approach to minimization of carbon dioxide emissions.

As Senior Advisor to the Kazakhstan - Japan Center for Human Recourses Development Abe Naomi said, Japan centers held such energy saving seminars in 16 countries worldwide. Kazakhstan is the last country the seminar to take place in.

"Nowadays, to be environmentally friendly is the mission of each inhabitant of our planet. We are very pleased to realize that the capital of Kazakhstan shows great interest in this issue", - she said.

Meanwhile, as Head of the Administration for Energy and Communal Services Kuanysh Beissenbinov said, the experience of Japan is invaluable.

"Astana is a developing city incurring a deficit as in electric energy as in the thermal one. We consider energy saving as an additional source of energy that is at the expense of economy of exiting resource - we can provide about 20-30%. This topic is of high importance for us and we will promote it further", - he emphasized.

The seminar participants will hold a diagnosis for energy saving in the capital circus and the Palace of Independence. The recommendations which to be announced in the final part of the seminar on its last day will be given following the results of the diagnosis.

The Project "Kazakhstan-Japan Center for Human Recourses Development" was created under the "Agreement between the Kazakh and Japan Governments on technical cooperation" signed in 2000 on the basis of M.T. Ryskulov Kazakh Economic University. The Center holds several training courses for local entrepreneurs and private companies.
