Japan - perspective economic partner of Kazakhstan in Asia - Vice Minister of Energy

ANA. October 22. KAZINFORM. /Dimash Syzdykov/ Japan is one of the most active and perspective economic partners of Kazakhstan in Asia. Kazakh Vice Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Asset Magauov has said it at the opening of the 1st sitting of Kazakh-Japanese Commission for economic cooperation in Astana today.
He noted positive dynamic of bilateral trade-economic cooperation and growth of foreign trade turnover between the two states. In 2008 the volume of commodity circulation made USD 1.6 billion. Over the period of January-June 2009 it has exceeded USD 500 million.
The Vice Minister said that the Kazakh President's visit to Japan in June 2008 gave a strong impulse to investment and technological cooperation between the two countries. Thereafter delegations of many Japanese transnational corporations visited Kazakhstan to determine opportunities of participation in the country's investment projects.
He emphasized that Kazakhstan's macroeconomic situation would remain stable and favorable for realization of business initiatives.
