EVENTS
1935 – Kazakh State Philharmonic Hall is established. In 1938 it is named after outstanding Kazakh poet and zhyrshy (singer) Zhambyl Zhabayev.
1992 - Kazakhstan Institute of Management, Economics, and Forecasting (KIMEP) is set up.
1994 – The Archive of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan is established.
1998 – One of the streets in Minsk, Belarus, is named after Abai.
2006 – Moscow-based publishing house Russkiy Raritet publishes a collection of poems by Kazakh poet Zhambyl Zhabayev.
2013 – Kazakh pianist Khadisha Onalbayeva is awarded Steinway Artist honorary title.
2017 – Nine historical and cultural sites of Kyzylorda region are included in the UNESCO World Heritage Preliminary List. They are namely, the medieval towns Syganak, Zhankent, Kesken-Kuyuk, Chirik Rabat, Zhent, Balandy Mausoleum, Babish Mola, monuments of the Zhetyasar Oasis and Sauyskandyk petroglyphs.
2018 – Kazakh actress Moldir Mekenbayeva wins a gold medal at the UAE Grand Slam International Jiu Jitsu Tournament.
2019 – Kazakhstan is elected a member country of the IRENA Credentials Committee.
2020 – Anastassiya Gorodko from Kazakhstan wins a gold medal at the dual moguls at the FIS Europe Cup in Switzerland.
2021 – The «Corner of Abai», introducing the life and work of the famous Kazakh poet is opened at the Trakya University in Türkiye
