IV Annual Kazakhstan Growth Forum held in London

ANA. June 23. KAZINFORM    The IV Annual International Forum titled Kazakhstan Growth Forum organized by Adam Smith Conferences under support of the Kazakh Embassy in Great Britain took place June 19, in London; the Kazakh MFA's press-service reported.

The official opening ceremony of the Kazakhstan-Britain Trade and Economic Chamber was held as part of the Forum. Head of the Kazakhstani delegation, Chairman of the National Bank of Kazakhstan Grigory Marchenko informed of Kazakhstan Government's measures of economic stabilization, particularly those in the financial and banking sectors of the country.

 Kazakh Ambassador Kairat Abusseitov informed the forum participants of the conceptual issues of the Address of the Kazakh President to the people of Kazakhstan and the priorities of the Path to Europe State Program within the Kazakhstan's chairmanship in OSCE in 2010. He noted that the achievement of the reguired balance between economic, political and humanitarian measures of interaction is highly important in the development of bilateral relations between Kazakhstan and the UK.

 Lord Mayor of the City of London Ian Luder noted that the UK takes one of the leading places on the volume of investments into the Kazakhstan economy. He also noted that London will support to the regional financial center of Almaty city as a large regional hub within the Kazakhstan's strategy of joining the world's 50 most competitive countries.

 The Forum attendants positively appraised the complex of measures taken by the Kazakh Government aimed at macroeconomic stabilization and stale economic development under present day conditions.

 Kazakhstan People's Artist Aiman Mussakhodzhayeva and famous pianist Eleonora Bekova gave a concert in one of the prestigious London Halls Cadogan Hall within the Forum.
