Italian-Kazakh Cultural Center for Creative Industry to be opened in Kazakhstan

On Wednesday, Minister of Culture and Information Aida Balayeva met with Marco Alberti, Ambassador of Italy to Kazakhstan, Kazinform News Agency reports.

The sides discussed the cooperation in culture and art.

Aida Balayeva said that Kazakhstan attaches huge importance to the development of cooperation in the field of culture and art with the European countries.

The participation in the Venice Biennale 2024 will become an important event for Kazakhstan. Along with an exhibition of works by our artists, we will organize art masterclasses. This cultural platform will provide an opportunity to learn better historical and cultural heritage of the country through the creativity and art of Kazakh craftsmen and talents.

In turn, Marco Alberti said that in 2023, Almaty inaugurated the Italian Cultural Center, the first one in Central Asia and the Caucasus.

He said the mission of the center is to popularize the Italian language and culture, to attract attention to creative talents.

The Diplomat noted that Italy is interested in cooperation with Kazakhstani universities and added that the  Italian-Kazakh Cultural Center for Creative Industry  will be opened in Kazakhstan in 2024.
