IT-industry development program may be adopted this year

ASTANA. November 1. KAZINFORM "Information Kazakhstan-2020 IT-industry development program may be adopted by the end of the year," Vice-Minister of Transport and Communications Saken Sarsenov said answering the questions on the sidelines of the exhibition-conference «Kazakhstan's Information Technologies-2012."
As the Vice-Minister stressed, today Kazakh companies face the problem not only in providing their ow services, but also in developing their own software.
"For this purpose Information Kazakhstan-2020 state program has been worked out pursuant to the Kazakh President's instruction. I think that the program will be adopted by the year-end," S. Sarsenov told.
According to him, this program provides mechanisms for state support of domestic IT-companies, which will allow them to become more competitive.
