Issues of common customs tariff discussed in Almaty

The participants were familiarized with the common commodity nomenclature, common customs tariff, list of commodities and rates. A peculiar attention was paid to the list of commodities and rates.
As earlier reported, a common commodity nomenclature of foreign economic activity, common customs tariff and common non-tariff regulation system will be introduced as of January, 1, 2010.
The Customs Code will be implemented as of July, 1, 2010; customs clearing for commodities of Kazakhstan's, Russian and Belarusian production will be repealed within the limits of the Customs Unions' member-states.
The round table participants emphasized that the removal of customs and trade barriers on the territory of the member-states will contribute to economic growth.
Representatives of brokerage and logistic companies as well as participants of the foreign economic activity took part in the session.
