Islamic Ummah should actively participate in regulation of most acute problems of modernity - Kanat Saudabayev

KAZINFORM /Rassul Bakhamov/ "The Islamic Ummah should actively participate in regulation of the most acute problems of modernity", OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Kazakh Secretary of State-Minister of Foreign Affairs Kanat Saudabayev said it at the 37th Session of the Council of the OIC Foreign Ministers in Dushanbe on Tuesday.

Paying attention to the topic of the meeting - "The general view on the more secure and prosperous Islamic world", K.Saudabayev noted that it reflected political will of the OIC member states to the consolidated actions for the sake of the common good of the Islamic Ummah.

He said that the last decade was a period of difficult tests for the Islamic world, which became target for the destructive forces in an attempt to justify many of the existing global problems.

"We should respond to these challenges by establishment of a new security paradigm based on the principles of openness, mutual respect, tolerance and mutual understanding", K.Saudabayev resumed.
