"The investigation and necessary forensic tests are underway. Technical documents of Olymp Air Company that owned the crashed plane will be minutely checked. According to preliminary reports, the investigators are blaming human factor and technical failure among other things for the AN-2 plane crash," the statement of the Main Transport Prosecutor's Office reads.

Fog and reduced visibility during landing may have caused the deadly crash in Zhambyl region as well. The AN-2 aircraft crashed near Shatyrkol mine in Zhambyl region at 15:40 p.m. local time on January 20. 3 crewmembers and 4 passengers were on board of the plane at the time of the crash. One passenger - a woman - had survived and was rushed to a hospital.
