IRNA to improve media coverage in Central Asia, Caucasus: Khoddadi

TEHRAN. KAZINFORM Managing Director of Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) Mohammad Khoddadi said here on Saturday that a group of IRNA stringers will start their works in Central Asia and the Caucasus in a near future.
Khoddadi made the remarks in a meeting with visiting Deputy Head of Russian Rossiya Segodnya News Agency Paul Andreev.
During the meeting, Khoddadi stressed the need for media cooperation between the two countries, IRNA reports.
Andreev, for his part, underscored that the two news agencies share identical views regarding various issues.
He announced that Managing Director of Rossiya Segodnya, Dmitry Kiselev, is due to travel to Iran on Jan 4, 2015.
During the visit, Kiselev is set to sign a professional cooperation agreement with IRNA aimed at promoting mutual understanding, he added.
