Iranian President respects Nursultan Nazarbayev as a leading politician in the int'l arena, Iran's FM

ASTANA. June 27. KAZINFORM President Nursultan Nazarbayev and Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi debated a wide range of issues today, the Kazakh Presidential press service reports.

The Head of State noted that high-level bilateral relations between Kazakhstan and Iran develop successfully.

"Kazakhstan is ready to broaden and strengthen our friendly relations and intensify trade and economic cooperation. Today's volume of foreign trade turnover between our countries stands at about USD1 bln that is not fully reflects potential and opportunities of our states. We observe currently certain instability in the region. Situation in Syria and Afghanistan becomes more unpredictable. Kazakhstan stands for diplomatic settlement of all international issues in various fields," Nursultan Nazarbayev said.

The Foreign Minister, in his turn, said that Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad highly esteems Nursultan Nazarbayev as a leading politician in the international arena.
