Iran's army equipped with advanced defense systems: minister

TEHRAN. April 21. KAZINFORM Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi said Iran's armed forces were equipped with the state-of-the-art defensive weaponry and hardware, the local satellite Press TV reported Thursday. Kazinform refers to Xinhua.
Addressing commanders in the western province of Kurdistan on Thursday, Vahidi said Iran's military had proved that it would strongly defend the country's national territory, according to the report.
The Islamic republic had achieved high-level defense capabilities thanks to tireless efforts by the committed Iranian military personnel, he said, adding that "Iran's military is fully prepared to counter enemy aggression."
