Interparliamentary cooperation discussed in Geneva

ASTANA. July 20. KAZINFOM The World Conference of Speakers of Parliament is continuing its work in Geneva. The delegation of Kazakhstan led by Speaker of the Senate Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev takes part in it .
As the press-service of the Senate informs the issues regarding development and improvement of cooperation of national parliaments within international organizations and ensuring interaction with the UN by means of the Interparliamentary Union will be discussed.
Kazakh deputies actively discussed the topic on fulfillment of commitments regarding the Millenium Development Goals outlined in the UN Millennium Declaration. The participants exchanged views on the issue of strengthening trustful relations between the parliaments and people of the countries of the world community.
