ASTANA. May 28. KAZINFORM Speaker of the Senate of the Kazakh Parliament Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev has received Chairman of the Committee on the CIS Affairs of the Council of Federation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Vladimir Babichev today, Kazinform refers to the press service of the Senate.
The sides shared opinions on the issues of further extension of bilateral Kazakh-Russian relations, including the interparliamentarian contacts.
K.Tokayev complimented the high level of interaction of the parliamentary groups of the Senate and the Council of Federation, noting that the interparliamentarian dialogue is one of the main bases of the relations of both countries.
The Speaker talked about harmonization and unification of the national legislation, concerning the issues of establishment of joint legal space, providing coordinated system of legislation in different spheres of interstate relations.
V.Babichev noted that the Kazakh diplomats took an active part in the work of the groups, acting within the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly, appreciating the role of the interparliamentary diplomacy in the development of bilateral cooperation.
