International Forum of Kazakh, Russian universities over in Petropavlovsk

ASTANA. March 2. KAZINFORM The International Scientific and Educational Forum of Russian and Kazakh Universities completed its work on March 1 in Petropavlovsk. The heads of 11 Russian and 14 Kazakh universities considered the issues of further cooperation on the basis of the North-Kazakhstan State M. Kozybayev University. The organizer of the event is the Ministry of Education and Science of Kazakhstan, Kazinform has learnt from the Ministry?s press service.
Head of the Ministry Zhanseit Tuimebayev greeted the participants and noted that the meeting was held under the instruction of President Nursultan Nazarbayev given at the meetings of the two countries's heads in Uralsk, Chelyabinsk and Aktobe cities. The forum is aimed at developing partnership between the universities of border regions of the two countries, making agreements on further extension of integration in science, education and culture.
Kazakh and Russian universities signed a memo on cooperation in the sphere of education, science and culture including 45 bilateral agreements of cooperation the last day of the forum.
