International dialogue of cultures conference to take place in Almaty

ALMATY. June 3. KAZINFORM As part of the Cultural Heritage national project an international scientific conference titled ?The role of historical-cultural heritage in the dialogue of civilizations? is to be held in Almaty on June 9-10; Kazinform has learnt from the event organizers.
The Conference is arranged by the Institute for Cultural Policy and Arts and the World Public Forum «Dialogue of Civilizations» in partnership with the Nur Otan Party and Kazakhstan's Ministry of Culture and Information.
According to the Organizing Committee, this conference will allow to speak up and solve three challenges: promotion of the Cultural heritage project at the international level; creation of an international dialogue platform for the issues of socio-humanitarian development based on Kazakhstan experience; introduction of the common national heritage for the world scientific use.
The program includes a plenary session ?Dialogue of Cultures: View from the Eurasian Space?, sessions on sections ?Dialogue of Cultures: view from the heart of Eurasia? and ?Eurasia in the face of the current global economic challenges? and roundtable ?National program ?Cultural heritage? ? innovative social-humanitarian project of Eurasia?.
Kazakhstan's Permanent Representative to UNESCO, famous public figure and poet Olzhas Suleimenov, Founding President of the WPF «Dialogue of Civilizations» Vladimir Yakunin, ex-Prime Minister of Czechia Miloš Zeman, Chairman of the International Coordination Committee of the WPF ?Dialogue of Civilizations? Walter Schwimmer and many other outstanding public figures and representatives of scientific community from the USA, Canada, France, Austria, Italy, China, India, Great Britain, Switzerland, Czechia, Russia, Lithuania, Estonia and other countries will take part in the conference.
