Internal Affairs Minister visited Kostanay oblast

KOSTANAY. May 18. KAZINFORM /Pyotr Plakhotnikov/ Minister of Internal Affairs Serik Baimaganbetov has visited Kostanay Internal Affairs Department and got familiarized himself with the work of command and control centre. The Minister also held a working conference with the heads of the subdivisions of the department.
During the meeting S. Baimaganbetov drew the participants? attention to the tasks set to internal affairs bodies on the modern stage and requirements of the Head of the State regarding observance of the citizens? rights and freedoms sounded in his Message to the Nation ?Through Crisis to Renovation and Prosperity?.
?Since the beginning of the year the total number of the registered crimes in the country has decreased nearly by 12%. The number of murders, heavy injures and burglaries lowered as well. We should regain the trust of the population. Therefore public order protection should become a priority task. In addition, one more important direction is struggle against corruption, youth crime, drug-traffic and organized crime?, the Minister stressed.
