Intergovernmental commission of coop between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan held session

The Kazakh side was headed by First Deputy Prime Minister Umirzak Shukeyev. The Uzbek side was presented by Deputy Prime Minister Rustem Azimov. Executive representatives of the state bodies and business communities of both countries took part in the session.

Implementation of the Protocol of the 10 session of the joint intergovernmental commission on cooperation between two countries, extension of bilateral trade-economic contacts, cooperation in the field of agriculture and water economy were discussed at the session. Besides, the parties discussed cooperation in the transport field, issues of debts management between energy systems of the countries and extension of the legislative base.

The chairmen of the commission from both sides reported on the results of execution of the Strategy of Economic Cooperation between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan for 2007-2016 within the past period. The sides stressed the necessity of joint efforts in overcoming of the world financial and economic crisis.
