Int’l seminar on tolerance and nondiscrimination takes place in Astana

The seminar is held by Kazakhstan as the chairman of the OSCE Contact Group on cooperation with Mediterranean Partners prior to the III Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions.

"Representatives of all six countries - members of the Group - and representatives of Palestine and the OSCE Secretariat take part in the seminar. We are pleased with the fact that all countries showed great interest to the seminar and participate in its work", Kazakh Permanent Representative to the OSCE Kairat Abdrakhmanov said.

The issues of culture of mutual understanding and respect, the role of mass media in promotion of tolerance, protection of rights and freedoms of migrants' communities are planned to discuss at the seminar. Special attention will be paid to Kazakhstan's initiatives at the world arena, connected with these issues.
