Int'l conf on radiation heritage held in Kurchatov

UST KAMENOGORSK. September 13. KAZINFORM The Institute of Radiation Safety and Ecology in Kuchatov hosted the V international scientific and practical conference themed "Semipalatinsk nuclear proving ground. Radiation heritage and prospects for development".
It enjoyed participation of scientists and experts from 6 countries of the world, the information centre of the Kazakh National Nuclear Centre said.
The conference included 16 plenary, 25 sectoral and 40 poster presentations and sessions on the most pressing problems of radiation ecology, radiation safety and radiation biology, rehabilitation and remediation issues in Kazakhstan, CIS and non-CIS countries.
