Int'l biochemistry conference to be held in Nepal
The conference aims to identify major reasons behind increasing non-communicable diseases, and enhance diagnosis according to Yasad Dongol, organizer of the conference.
"The sessions will mainly focus on new findings and emerging topics like liver diseases, tuberculosis, psychiatric disorders, thyroid dysfunction, molecular biology and genetics, immunology and quality assessment of diagnostic laboratory," Dongol was qouted by Thursday's The Himalayan Times as saying.
Over 150 participants from Nepal, India, South Korea and the United States will attend the conference.
At least 27 research papers will be presented by experts from BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Institute of Medicine, Patan Academy of Health Sciences, Kathmandu University School of Medical Sciences, Tribhuvan University-Faculty of Medicine, Purbanchal University, Pokhara University, NAST and Universities from India.
Cancer experts from Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center and academics from NAST will also give lectures on laboratory science. Kazinform cites Xinhua. See www.xinhuanet.com
