Innovative bus travels across Kazakhstan in search of innovators

Today the special "innovative bus" departed from Astana to the city of Petropavlovsk. According to Vice-Minister of Industry and New Technologies of Kazakhstan Yerlan Sagadiyev, the bus will travel around the country. Meanwhile, experts from the Ministry of Industry and the National Agency for Technological Development will meet with the authors of innovative ideas. Experts will also explain to local citizens support mechanisms for innovators in Kazakhstan.
"As a result of the trip, we will define participants of the contest. Finalists will arrive in Astana, where they will represent their innovations. First place winner receives KZT 7.5 million, second place - KZT 2.5 million, and the third place winner gets KZT 1.5 million", said Yerlan Sagadiyev.
After visiting Petropavlovsk the innovative will head to Kokshetau (June 25), Karaganda (26 June), Pavlodar (June 27), Ust-Kamenogorsk (June 30), Taldykorgan (July 2), Almaty (July 3), Taraz (July 4), Shymkent (July 5), Kyzylorda (July 9), Aktobe (July 11), Aktau (July 14), Atyrau (July 15), Uralsk (July 16) and Kostanay (July 18).
The competition was first launched in Kazakhstan in 2005. Applications should be submitted to "National Agency for Technological Development" JSC before August 1 of the current year.
