Injured workers of Ridder TPP transferred from ISU to general wards
The workers injured during repair works at the Ridder Thermal Power Plant are receiving the necessary treatment, Kazinform News Agency reports.
The patients have been transferred from the intensive care unit to the general medical wards.
"A decision was made today to transfer them [workers - edit] from the intensive care unit to the general wards, since there is no threat to their lives. Their condition is assessed as stable," Tolegen Zhigitayev, head of the regional health department, says.
As reported, six workers were injured December 20 as a result of a dust-air mixture explosion at the Ridder Thermal Power Plant. The workers were rushed to the local hospital, but later, three of them were transported by air ambulance to Ust-Kamenogorsk, the administrative center of the East Kazakhstan region.
A commission was set up to investigate into the incident cause. The results of the investigation will be announced in 10 days.
