Informal meeting of OSCE foreign ministers to be held in Almaty July 16-17
Ambassador-at-Large, Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Yerzhan Ashikbayev has announced it in Kiev.
He noted that the informal meeting will be an important stage of coordination of political positions within the framework of the OSCE, including discussion of the OSCE Summit agenda and other issues connected with it.
Y.Ashikbayev informed that the issues of participation of heads of states in the OSCE Summit and preparation for the informal meeting of the OSCE foreign ministers in Almaty are discussed at the meetings with politicians within the framework of a tour around the Eastern European countries of Acting OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Kazakh Secretary of State-Minister of Foreign Affairs Kanat Saudabayev.
In particular, on Tuesday, March 30, expressing gratitude for supporting Astana's initiatives, including initiatives of the Kazakh President on holding the OSCE Summit, K.Saudabayev conveyed invitation to President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on the behalf of Nursultan Nazarbayev to attend this forum.
At the meeting with the Belarusian colleague Kanat Saudabayev invited him to the informal meeting of the OSCE foreign ministers in Almaty.
