Informal meeting of Foreign Ministers of Central Asia held in Bodrum
According to Mr. Abdrakhmanov the meeting was organized within the preparation for the Cooperation Council Summit of Turkic states that had been established by the initiative of the President of Kazakhstan at the Summit of leaders of Turkic-speaking states in Azerbaijani city of Nakhichevan in October of 2009.
'The Ministers discussed the agenda of the upcoming in September meeting of the leaders of Turkic-speaking states and the methods to strengthen this organization. According to the opinion of all participants the Turkic Union will be an integral part for further strengthening of political and economical cooperation between brotherly countries and preserving cultural and historical heritage of Turkic nations', the representative said.
A. Abdrakhmanov noted the Heads of the Foreign Ministries had discussed several international and regional problems, including the situation in Kyrgyzstan.
The Ministers highly appreciated the activities of Kazakhstan as the OSCE presiding country.
The Heads of Foreign Ministries of four countries fully supported the efforts of Ankara as the CICA presiding country.
