Influx of foreign investment into Kyrgyzstan amounts to almost $655 mln over 9 months

The influx of foreign direct investment for 9 months of 2023 amounted to 654 million 621.9 thousand US dollars, Deputy Director of the National Investment Agency of the Kyrgyz Republic Zhibek Abdullayeva told at a press conference at Kabar Agency.
According to data, the leader in the influx of foreign direct investment into Kyrgyzstan at the end of 2022 was Turkiye - $341.6 million, China - $326.0 million, Russia - $145.6 million.
“Based on the results of 9 months of 2023, the top three were led by China with $157.8 million, Russia with $131.7 million and Kazakhstan with $54.9 million.
The influx of foreign direct investment mainly falls on areas such as mining, agriculture, light industry, trade, communications and others,” she informed.
