Individual comprehensive plans of traditional economic sector progress needed - Nazarbayev

"To the traditional industries I attribute the oil and gas, mining and metals and agro-industrial complexes. It is necessary not only to maintain a high growth rate in the traditional sectors, but also to ensure their specialization in processing of products. Well, today the market conditions are such that the mining and metallurgical complex is experiencing difficulties with the prices. But it will not be always that way, because the world economy will use our products - both metals and semi-finished products that we produce. It is necessary to get prepared for it. So around our traditional sectors there should be created related production cycles, geological exploration and engineering services are to be developed. Industrial program and development of traditional industries for us are two parallel, each other replacing fields, they must be evolved together. Therefore, in traditional sectors we need to elaborate separate comprehensive plans of their progress, and to help these sectors", said Nursultan Nazarbayev.

In complex plans, according to the President, it is important to reflect the whole chain of added cost and co-production organization, establishment of necessary infrastructure and training system. These plans should be linked with the program of industrialization.
