Indian Vice President congratulates new Kazakh Ambassador on his appointment

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Today, September 11 in New Delhi, Vice-President of India Mohammad Hamit Ansari has received the Ambassador of Kazakhstan in India Dulat Kuanyshev in connection with the completion of his mission, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The sides noted the ongoing dynamics of the bilateral cooperation between Kazakhstan and India in all directions. Kazakhstan supports India's efforts to become a member of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), while India has supported Kazakhstan's candidacy for membership in the UN Security Council in 2017-2018. Trade turnover between Kazakhstan and India has doubled, in particular, for the six months of this year, it amounted to USD 750 million. The parties, however, noted that the potential for the development of trade and economic relations is not implemented in full, and has significant opportunity for further growth. In this regard, D.Kuanyshev drew attention to the opening of the railway "Kazakhstan-Turkmenistan-Iran" which can give a new impetus to the enhancement of trade and economic relations between India and Kazakhstan. H.Ansari recalled his stay in Kazakhstan and conveyed his best wishes to President Nursultan Nazarbayev and the people of Kazakhstan, expressing hope that the Head of State will visit India on an official visit. At the end of the meeting, Vice-President of India congratulated Kazakh diplomat on his new appointment and wished him further success.
