Indian Prime Minister to visit Astana - MFA

ASTANA. April 11. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ Prime Minister of India Manmohan Singh will pay an official visit to Astana on April 15-16 on the invitation of President Nursultan Nazarbayev. Spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Askar Abdrakhmanov said it at the briefing in Astana.
'It is expected that upon the completion of the high-level negotiations a joint statement will be adopted. A number of interstate agreements are planned to be signed within bilateral economic cooperation between the two states during this visit,' the spokesman noted.
'We hope that the upcoming visit will become an important event for further development of strategic partnership between our countries. Besides, it is called on to give an impetus to trade and economic cooperation, including realization of joint projects,' he concluded.
