Indian diplomat took part in opening of Rabindranath Tagore's bust in E Kazakhstan

UST KAMENOGORSK. October 20. KAZINFORM. /Lyudmila Malko/ Yesterday India's Ambassador to Kazakhstan Ashok Sajjanhar took part in the opening of a bust to a prominent Indian poet, laureate of the Nobel Prize Rabindranath Tagore that was installed in the ethnic park "Zhastar", Ust Kamenogorsk.
At the opening ceremony Akim of East Kazakhstan region Berdybek Saparbayev noted that it was a great honor for the region to have that monument. It was noted that India and East Kazakhstan have a long history of cultural interaction. The people of East Kazakhstan are fond of Indian classical and folk dance ensembles, exhibitions of Indian art.
A number of Rabindranath Tagore's works is translated into Kazakh.
According to the Indian diplomat, next year a monument to a great son of the Kazakh people Abai Kunanbayev will be erected in Delhi.
