President Nazarbayev announced the construction of the new refinery Friday while delivering the State-of-the-Nation Address "Kazakhstan's way: Common goal, common interests, common future".

"The demand for petrol, diesel fuel, and jet fuel is quite high in Kazakhstan, hence, the new oil refinery should be constructed," the President stressed.

The news generated intense public interest among the Indian experts working in Atyrau on the construction of an advanced petroleum refining complex at the local oil processing plant.

"Working in Atyrau, we have accumulated extensive experience of bilateral cooperation with our Kazakhstani colleagues. We were delighted to hear that foreign investors will be offered favorable conditions. If Kazakhstan invites our specialists or requires our technologies, we are ready to take part in this project," the Indian expert said.
