Independence Day of Kazakhstan marked in Uzbekistan (PHOTO)

TASHKENT. KAZINFORM - Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Uzbekistan has hosted a reception on the occasion of 23th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The ceremony was attended by over 300 people including members of Uzbek Government, senior officials of the Foreign Ministry of Uzbekistan, representatives of government agencies, reps of the diplomatic corps, international organizations, mass media, and non-governmental organizations.

In his welcoming remarks, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Uzbekistan Boribai Zheksembin noted the main achievements and successes of our country. The head of the Kazakh diplomatic mission informed the guests about the new economic policy of Kazakhstan "Nurly Zhol - The path to the future". According to Mr. Zheksembin, this year Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan have achieved significant progress in different areas of bilateral cooperation.

"Thanks to the balanced foreign policy of our country, Kazakhstan has proved itself as a responsible and reliable partner of Uzbekistan," said B.Zheksembin.
