In Kazakhstan number of saiga reaches 187,000 in 2013 - Kapparov

"The work is continuing on conservation and restoration of rare and endangered species of wild ungulates and saiga. As a result of measures take there is positive dynamics, which in 2013 has grown to 187 thousand heads. By 2015 there is a task of bringing their numbers to commercial value, which amounts to 500,000 individuals", said N.Kapparov.
According to him, as a result of the measures has stabilized the number of rare and endangered species of wild ungulates. To increase the range of their distribution we have a plan to create the specialized system of the Center for Resettlement and reproduction of animals to new habitats. The Ministry within the public-private partnership is also reviewing its assistance to subjects of unting activities in breeding game animals in captive and semi-captive conditions.
