In Almaty an addict attacks ex-wife, kills her for money

The body of a 29-year-old woman was found by passers on the eve early morning in one of the houses at Furmanov street. In the first minutes of the operational activities the deceased was identified. She was a resident of one of the apartments of a multi-storeyed building.

"The woman was living in a rented apartment, which was not in order. In the room at the time of inspection the officers found used scotch tape, with which, as it turned out later, the criminals tied up the woman and demanded money from her. In the course of operational activities it became known that the citizen was the victim of her ex-husband, who was addicted. For a few years she had been bringing up her two minor children. At the time of the tragedy her two sons were at the house of their grandmother. The ex-husband came to the victim, along with his two friends to demand her money for drugs. The woman was severely beaten. According to preliminary data, the woman, having selected an opportunity, set herself free of Scotch tape and jumped from the window of the apartment on the fifth floor", reports the police.

Within a few hours all three suspects were calculated and detained. From the testimony of the raiders, after hours of torture, the vicitm gave them her personal savings in the amount of 130 thousand tenge, and 1 thousand 700 dollars. During the interrogation the criminals added that after the incident they went down to the street and tried to bring the victim's body back into the apartment.
