In 2014 Kazakhstan produced 22,800 tons of uranium – Energy Minister

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - The volume of uranium production in the past year amounted to 22,800 tons, this has been said by Energy Minister Vladimir Shkolnik at today's enlarged meeting of the Government under the chairmanship of President Nursultan Nazarbayev.

He also recalled that in 2014 Kazakhstan and China signed agreements on construction of a fuel assembly plant in the city of Ust-Kamenogorsk for nuclear power plants in China.
