Implementation of Employment Roadmap 2020 discussed by Cabinet

During the meeting, Minister of Labor and Social Protection Tamara Duissenova presented the criteria for distribution, selection of projects and determining the limits of funds for the implementation of the first direction of the program on provision of employment through the development of infrastructure and housing and communal services.
According to her, 20 billion tenge allocated under the program's first direction will be distributed according to the following plan: 5% for the state-owned property, 95% for the facilities of local importance.
The funds will be distributed among the regions as follows: 80% by population, 20% as a result of the activities on employment of participants in the previous employment programs, reducing the number of unemployed, unproductive self-employed, low-income population.
This year, it is planned to implement 718 projects in 14 regions for a total of 19 billion tenge. This will create 8415 jobs, including 4926 jobs for participants in the program.
Also, together with the Ministry of Regional Development there was agreed a list of support villages for integrated development in the current year as part of the second direction of the "Employment Roadmap 2020". To support the development of integrated villages in the "pilot" mode there were identified 11 villages in six regions of the country.
