IMF, WB experts give recommendations to Kazakhstan on macroeconomic and monetary policy development in post-crisis period

ANA. October 23. KAZINFORM Kazakhstan Prime Minister Karim Massimov has held a meeting with representatives of the IMF, World Bank and industrial experts and with World Bank ex-Country Director for Central Asia Dennis de Tray in Ukimet Uiy.

 The strategic prospects and risks of the world and Kazakh economies development were considered in the course of the meeting; the Prime Minister's press service reports.

 In particular, the experts noted goal setting correctness on economy recovery after the crisis, its further diversification and prevention of similar economic shocks in the future, which were reflected in draft Strategic Plan of Kazakhstan's Socio-Economic Development till 2020 (Strategy).

 According to international experts, the Strategy is the good basis for the long-term state planning and is called to ensure balance between maintenance of macroeconomic stability, maintaining adequate level of interest rates, inflation regulation and solution of economic diversification goals.

 The experts gave range of recommendations on the issues of development of the macroeconomic and monetary policy in the post-crisis period.
