ASTANA. July 1. KAZINFORM /Valentina Yelizarova/ "Economic development of the world in last decade, advance in technologies couldn't solve such problems as poverty and famine", Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev has said today at the III Congress of World and Traditional Religions' Leaders.
"The world economy has lost trillions of dollars. All developed economics of the world - the USA, Russia, Japan, European Union and Russia are in the process of recession. The growth of the Chinese economy slowed down for the first time in the last decade", N.Nazarbayev said, noting that the economic crisis aggravates the stability problems in the world.
"But the current world crisis is regular to a large extent. Attempts to better life by means of crediting systems, so called "easy money" became a tragedy for thousands of people", Kazakh President said.
"Imbalance between rich and poor keeps on increasing. Over one billion people live for less then one dollar per day", N.Nazarbayev stressed.
