Idrissov participated in Meeting of foreign ministers of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-speaking States

BAKU. August 17. KAZINFORM On August 15, the 3rd Summit of the Cooperation Council of the Turkic-speaking States (CCTS) began its work in Gabala, Azerbaijan. Presidents of Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey will be participating in this event.

The Summit's first official event, attended by Kazakhstan's Foreign Minister Erlan Idrissov, was the Meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the CCTS.

In his remarks, Minister Idrissov commended the results of the chairmanship by the Kyrgyz Republic over the CCTS Council, highlighting the importance of the initiatives undertaken in the framework of the Council.

On the fields of the Foreign Ministers' Meeting, Kazakhstan's diplomat met with his Kyrgyz counterpart Erlan Abdyldaev. They discussed a wide range of bilateral issues, as well as dates and terms of holding a Kazakhstan-Kyrgyz Intergovernmental Council and the forthcoming visit by Kazakhstan's Prime Minister Serik Akhmetov to Kyrgyzstan. In addition, they covered energy issues, cooperation over cross-border water resources and within the SCO framework.

According to the results of the multilateral meeting, the foreign ministers signed a protocol on cooperation between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the CCTS.

The results of the summit will be announced on August 16.
