ICTR overturns Rwanda genocide convictions

LONDON. February 4. KAZINFORM A UN-backed court has overturned the genocide convictions of two Rwandan ex-ministers and has ordered their immediate release.
Justin Mugenzi and Prosper Mugiraneza were sentenced to 30 years in prison in 2011 by a lower court.
The appeal court quashed their conviction on charges of complicity to commit genocide and incitement to commit genocide.
About 800,000 people died during the 1994 Rwandan genocide.
