HELSINKI. March 24. KAZINFORM /Yernur Akanbai/ I think, Kazakhstan?s model of inter-ethnic and inter-faith tolerance will be appraised by Finland, Head of the State Nursultan Nazarbayev has said at a meeting with the members of Paasikivi political society in Helsinki today.
?Strengthening internal political stability and inter-ethnic harmony is an important direction of Kazakhstan?s long-term strategy. Kazakhstan became Motherland for the representatives of 130 nationalities and 46 confessions. Over the years of independence we have succeeded in preservation of inter-ethnic harmony and creation of a unique mechanism of inter-ethnic dialogue ? the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan that gained constitutional status. I hope that our model of strengthening the inter-ethnic and inter-faith dialogue and high level of public tolerance will be worthily appraised?, N. Nazarbayev noted.
