I'm grateful to everyone for trust in me - N. Nazarbayev

During the event, a news program, where the exit-poll results were announced, was broadcast. According to the announced results, the majority of the people of the country voted for N. Nazarbayev, the press service of the Akorda informs.

Speaking at the ceremony the President expressed his gratitude to the entire nation.

"I am grateful to everyone, every family for having confidence in me over the period of our independence and at these elections as well. The idea of holding early presidential elections belongs to the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan. The idea was supported by the people of the country. I want to thank Nur Otan party for putting forward my candidature. I express my gratitude to everyone who was a part of the whole process," the Head of State emphasized.

N. Nazarbayev noted once again that the people of the country voted for the work that is carried out in country.

"It could be difficult to work without such a support. The record setting voting turnout demonstrated the unity of Kazakhstanis, their desire to live in a stable state and support of initiated by me programs. It all gives more energy to work for the good of the country," the President said.

The Head of State also drew attention to the historic significance of the elections where Kazakhstanis demonstrated their unity.

"The elections met all the norms and standards and the entire process was observed by international observers and journalists. Kazakhstan demonstrated the world community its high political culture and democracy and elevated itself one more step higher than before," N. Nazarbayev said.
